Respite care is defined as the admission of a resident on either a planned or emergency basis, for a period not to exceed 21 days in order to relieve the primary caregiver from the demands of providing home-based care. If you are caring for a loved one, respite care may be an option if you need to take a short break to attend to other matters, travel for business or take a long-overdue vacation. Respite care is based on bed availability. Residents enjoying respite stays at our centers enjoy all of the amenities and activities available to all of our residents.
Placement for more than 21 days per incident is considered a regular resident admission. Back to the top.
